According to the manuscript, this symbol was intended to help its bearer find their way through rough weather and unfamiliar terrain, ensuring they would not become lost.
The reverse side of the amulet features either the Tiwaz or Algiz rune—each associated with distinct aspects of ancient Germanic spirituality.
