This Viking shield pendant reflects early medieval Scandinavian shield forms, adapted into a compact wearable amulet. The circular shape mirrors historical shield designs, while the engraved runes add visual rhythm and structure.
The pendant is cast in pewter using the beeswax casting technique, then finished by hand. Blue hot enamel is applied into four sections and fired at high temperature, creating a smooth, durable enamel surface that integrates directly with the metal.
The cool grey tone of pewter works naturally with blue enamel, giving the pendant a calm and balanced appearance. The design avoids excess decoration and stays close to early medieval proportions.
